Decorated with the stones and woody walls, the restaurant has a delightful air to have a grilled steak cooked in front of you. "Happy comfortableness for the customers who visit the restaurant for the first time, and veritable contentment for the customers who have repeatedly visited the restaurant," is the motto of Mouriya Restaurants, and the owner and staffs wish to serve customers the highest quality food possible. In the boast of the goodness of our restaurants, it is the quality of the material beef. We recommend the first bite eaten by all means with the Ako's salt, by which the taste and quality of the beef is more distinguished. There are 40 seats, so please make yourself comfortable to dine in our restaurant whether you're alone or a group member when you visit the city on business, for sightseeing or entertainment, etc. Royal Mouriya Restaurant is on the second floor of the same building and Honten Restaurant is located in the place of only 30 seconds' walk from here. We hope the features of these three restaurants will respectively satisfy your needs and bring you enjoyment of dining.

Pretty good kobe beef but I've had better in Tokyo. The differences comes down to the chef as the cuts are all superb.

The service we received here was exceptional. From the moment we were led to our table, there were at least 3 - 4 different wait staff helping us, seating us, pouring water, taking our coats, etc....10/10The meat, oh my. Words can never do it justice. Is it pricey? Absolutely. Would I eat this everyday if I could? Probably not. But for the hour and a bit we were there seated in our private room with a chef cooking before us, everything felt worth it. Kobe beef is not for everyone because of how hyped it's been and yes, you are partially paying for that. Some people might not even like the fat-to-meat ratio, and that's perfectly understandable too. But damn, if you are a beef lover and have an opportunity, you must try A5 wagyu once in your life.

I write this review as a tourist from Germany. I ate the A5 Kobe Rip Eye steak in the big menu.It was okay.The beef was very tender and fatty. It tasted good. But I know better beef. With the price of 17500 yen I can eat 5x 300g steaks in my hometown in Germany with side orders and drinks and they are equally good if not better in regards of taste. The side orders here were okayish. Overall - for me - it was a bit disappointing.The fact that you can see the chef cooking in front of you is cool.The evening was okay, but I would never do this again. It is not worth the high price and I am not shy to pay good money for a good meal.

The steak is as expected, really tasty and buttery. The place looks really cute, and you get a nice full course meal (soup, salad, veggies, coffee or tea afterward). But two things made it not reach 5 stars. 1) the staff was a lot less welcoming than all other restaurants we've eaten at (been here for 2 weeks) and 2) the cost. We got one Kobe beef fillet and one wagyu sirloin, and each one glass of wine. Came out to about 30000yen. Definitely worth trying out if you're a foodie / really into steak, but be prepared for a steep price.

Just one word... Amazing!For Kobe beed it's not that expensive.Pur personaf chef was Ogaki Masakazu and it was amazing! He was really kind and the food was AMAZING! Best meat I have ever tried.

Since the day I first heard of Kobe beef, I knew I had to taste it from the source. The rating is not so much for how good the meal is, but the value for money you get. We went with the a5 quality sirloin, and indeed the meat was very good and tender like none other. But is it worth the price? Not for me. I've had comparable pieces of meat for 1/6 the price. Don't get me wrong, this was by a slight margin better, but I'll honestly never order it again. It's good to have on the bucket list though

Just amazing. Yes it is expensive but if you want an amazing dining experience then you must come here. Everyone from the waiter to the chef all speak English. Every dish was delicious. The beef was melt in your mouth and you'd wish you had eaten it more slowly so you could savour the moment more. When we left, the chef came out and thanked us personally, only leaving until the lift had closed. Amazing personal touch.

This was by far the best restaurant we visited in Japan. Service is great there and we had our own chef. The chef was a very polite man and tried very hard to talk back in English. The food was very delicious. I've never had such delicious beef in my life! The beef just melts in your mouth. You'll get the best food experience here. Totally worth paying this price for the quality of food and fine service. I really recommend this place!

The whole experience was nice and all the courses were tasty, but honestly, for me the taste of the famous Kobe A5 steak was quite disappointing. This was my first time tasting it and was really looking forward to finally feeling what its like, but it really wasn't that special. Had both Sirloin and Rib eye. Had much better steaks in my life for fraction of the price.

When I first stepped into the restaurant, I was immediately welcomed by the friendly staff and magnificent atmosphere. Despite not making a reservation, they assured us it would not pose a problem and seated us right in front of chef Ogaki, who prepared the most delicate and buttery pieces of A5 Wagyu Kobe Beef - a taste one should not miss the experience of. Ogaki was the embodiment of a chef who had clearly mastered his craft, where we could clearly taste the love and care he puts into his cooking, leaving us with an unforgettable memory from our trip to Japan.

Reservation was made through their website. First time trying Kobe Beef, and it’s hands down the best steak I’ve ever tasted. The beef literally melts in your mouth.It’s expensive so be prepared to burn a hole in your pocket! But nevertheless one of the best meals I’ve had in Japan!

This being lunch and not wanting to blow our Budget, we ordered lean Kobe beef - round / rump cuts for sharing. Still, the meat was delicious. The set comes with tea / coffee to round up. We opted for coffee without much expectations, thinking it would be regular coffee granules. Coffee turned out to be the real thing with creama. Overall it was a lovely experience.

Premium Loin Kobe Beef A5 Grade is a Must! Incredible marbling! Buttery, tender, rich flavor without any additional seasoning. The meat literally melt in my mouth! Do visit Kobe if you find yourself near Osaka or Kyoto and give this restaurant a try

Probably the best food experience of my life!This restaurant it's so refined and pleasant, classical music is played in the background, the staff is amazingly cordial and the food is just at the top.It's a teppanyaki place, so each guest or group has a personal chef that cook the food in front of them, you start with a couple of appetizer and then the meat! Kobe beef it's simply the best of the best. It's not a cheap meal (a set menu for a Kobe rib eye is around 16.000Y, while for a premium wagyu rib eye 8.000Y). If you are 2 or 3 you can choose each a different cut of meat and the chef will divide them so you can taste everything.

Great experience! After reading all the reviews, I thought kobe beef might be overrated or over priced. But after eating it myself, I think it is worth it! It really melts in the mouth. High class Restaurant, great service, and nice chef. Another reason why the price is high I guess is also because the time chef spends with you. The chef only cook the next pieces of meat after u are about to finish, ensuring that the meat on your plate is always hot.

Food was amazing! Nice ambient atmosphere. I got a seat in front of a chef and watched him prepare my food. I got set B ( with 3 extra dishes) and got to try premium kobe beef filet and rib eye. Filet was melting in my mouth - so tender. But rib eye is the next level up in flavor. Chef new how to cut the steak and serve it in certain order from smooth texture to higher flavor pieces. Extra dishes were delicious and worked well to help digest the steak. Everything was professionally designed and served. Had amazing experience and highly recommend. I went through many kobe teppanyaki restaurant options on Google, but I’m glad i found this place.

Excellent experience, everyone is very friendly and the chef cooks in front of you & wait till you finish your portion before he starts cooking again so the beef is warm and nice to eat. Highly recommended, it’s quite pricy but for the quality and experience. Totally worth it.

A high class expensive restaurant that serves high grade A5 Kobe beef. Ordering any Kobe beef comes with rice, salad, pickled veggie and tea/coffee. The service is excellent. The cook was very friendly. The beef is cooked right in front of you and serves to you as you eat. When you take a bite into the meat, it just melts almost like cotton candy in your mouth.

So good! I was looking forward to a Kobe steak experience and I got a great one. Totally worth the cost. I got the specially selected wagyu beef - the prime sirloin - and the chef prepared the entire meal, including the veggie accompaniments, in front of me, explaining in English what he was doing and advising what condiment would be best - a real personalized experience. The beef was so juicy and delicious! I left feeling that I had a primo Kobe steak dinner... very happy.

What’s a trip to Kobe without trying some delectable Kobe beef. There’s an abundance of Kobe beef restaurants to choose from. I think we chose this from reviews or maybe TripAdvisor. We weren’t disappointed. The restaurant wasn’t overly busy, perhaps due to the pricing. The staff were super friendly and accommodating and the chef did an amazing job cooking everything in front of us. The food presented well. We went for the higher grade cut but I found it a little too high in fat content but still tasted fairly good.

This place made us feel incredibly welcome, the service was excellent and the Kobe beef was the genuine article. We had our own dedicated chef cooking our steak, and when asked to pick our cuts of meat, the wait staff suggested to us that if we're sharing (we were) we might like to pick cuts of meat that are further apart on the cow - menu came with a picture of the cow so we knew which cuts we were choosing, including a marbling and tenderness rating. We went for lunch and the meal is a set menu of salad, vegetables, bread/rice, beef, tea/coffee. The beef comes with accompaniments of salt, pepper, fried garlic, FRESH wasabi (had never had this before - was amazing!), and miso. Vegetables also come with a delicious dipping sauce. Overall, this was a super expensive lunch (approx AUD500), but we left feeling like we'd had a fantastic experience.

The great place to enjoy the Kobe-raised beef (A4-A5 grade) The staff and cook are nice and friendly. Great food and good atmosphere. The price is almost expensive but if compared to what you get. The price is not a problems! And do not forget to book the seat before you visit here

Questions & Answers

It's not halal.

There are many private rooms. However, the minimum number of people in use is decided, and I think that it is impossible if it is two people. As I was a family of four, I took a private room. Private rooms seem to be more popular here.
